IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT 2022 will have the following awards, which will be announced and bestowed at the Conference Closing Ceremony.



Best Conference Paper Award

sensorsThis award recognizes the most outstanding paper presented at IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT Workshop.
The Best Conference Paper Award is sponsored by MDPI Sensors Journal.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

  • A prize money amounting to 600 CHF;
  • A waiver on the Article Processing Charges (APCs) for the extended version of the Best Paper on MDPI Sensors;
  • A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
  • The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.


Basis for Judging: A selection committee will be appointed by the IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT Awards Committee Chairs. Papers are judged based on technical merit, originality, potential impact on the field, clarity of the written paper, and quality of the conference presentation.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroInd4.0&IoT Closing Ceremony.

Best Paper Presented by a Young Researcher

This award recognizes the best paper authored and presented by a researcher younger than 35 years in age.

The author of the awarded paper, and co-authors if any, will be entitled to:

  • A signed and stamped official Award Certificate;
  • The announcement of their achievement on a special conference webpage.

Best Paper on "Sensors for Metrology and Industry 4.0"

ieee_sensors.jpgThe IEEE Sensors Council Italy Chapter recognizes distinguished papers submitted to IEEE MetroInd 2022 through a presentation of an Award for the Best Paper on "Sensors for Metrology and Industry 4.0" accepted and presented to the Workshop.

Basis for Judging: The Sensors Council Best Paper will be selected by a Committee of 6 members selected by the MetroInd2022 Award Chairs. The selection will be based on the technical quality and the review process of the initial full paper.

Eligibility: The paper must be presented by an IEEE Student Member.

Presentation: The award will be announced and presented at the IEEE MetroInd Closing Ceremony.
